1 Killed, 2 Injured in Fiery Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 45

One person was killed and two others were injured in a fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 45 Friday morning. Northbound lanes were closed but have since been reopened.

The major accident involved three vehicles: two people in a Lexus driving in the correct direction and one person in a Chevrolet driving the wrong way, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The passenger in the Lexus died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Lexus was taken into surgery in critical condition and the driver of the Chevrolet was hospitalized in stable condition, officials said.

No other information was available.
