A man was rushed to a hospital after a shooting at a southeast Houston gas station Thursday morning.
Officers were called to an Exxon gas station in the 5800 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard around 10:10 a.m. to after two men were involved in a fight, according to Houston police. During the tussle, one of the men pulled a gun and shot the other in the leg, police said.
As officers arrived, paramedics with the Houston Fire Department – wearing newly issued bullet-proof vests – were loading the victim into an ambulance. He appeared to be conscious and breathing as they drove away with lights and sirens on
No one was in custody for the shooting as of 10:40 a.m., officers on scene said.
