Woman shot in the head during Pasadena drive-by shooting

A 28-year-old woman was shot in the head early Wednesday during a drive-by shooting at a home in Pasadena, according to police.

She was taken to Memorial Hermann hospital, where she remained in critical condition overnight, police said

The shooting was reported around 2 a.m. in the 1400 block of Cactus Street. Police said the victim was inside with a man and a child when the suspects fired multiple rounds into the home.

The woman was shot, but no other injuries were reported. Three other children who live in the home were staying with other family members at the time, police said.

Investigators recovered multiple bullet casings on the street in front of the home. A description of the suspect’s vehicle was not available.
