Raisani calls for judicial commission to probe Mastung blast

QUETTA: The central leader of Balochistan National Party (Mengal group), Nawabzada Haji Lashkari Raisani, on Sunday expressed dissatisfaction over investigations into Mastung bomb attack and other deadly blasts which took place across Balochistan in the last several years and demanded a judicial inquiry into the Mastung carnage.

He was talking to a private TV channel on the first death anniversary of Nawabzada Siraj Khan Raisani.

“Despite the passage of one year, our wounds are still fresh as we lost more than 150 people, including Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, in the deadly Mastung blast but unfortunately we didn’t see results of the investigation into the Mastung attack and other bomb blasts that occurred across the province,” Mr Raisani said.

“Several bomb blasts and attacks took place in the province, leaving hundreds of people dead, but not a single investigation into any incident yielded any result which reflects complete failure of the government,” the BNP-M leader said.

“We are told that masterminds of several attacks have been killed, but why these masterminds are not arrested in order to reach facilitators of these attacks? Mr Raisani asked, adding that “we will not be satisfied until a judicial commission is formed to investigate the Mastung blast”.
