Messy travel this morning for some

We are off to a cold start this morning in North Texas with temperatures below freezing in spots. Be sure to stay weather aware if your travel plans take you west of the DFW area this morning, as accumulating snow and sleet could lead to travel problems.

DFW temperatures will likely remain just above freezing, but to the west where temperatures have fallen below freezing, bridges overpasses and elevated surfaces may be slick this morning. Accumulations of 2 to 3 inches of snow and sleet will be possible mainly northwest of the DFW Metroplex.

For DFW a cold rain is likely in the morning. There is also a chance for a rain/snow mix this evening before it all comes to an end.

Thursday will be dry but cold. Morning temperatures will be in the 20s with highs only in the 40s. Milder weather is on tap for the weekend.
