A cold rain in DFW, but snow and sleet to the west

A cold front moved through North Texas during the day Tuesday ushering in much colder air. Temperatures will continue to fall into the 30s for Tuesday night and Wednesday. DFW temperatures will likely remain just above freezing, but to the west, sub-freezing weather is expected with a winter mix and the potential for slick roads.

The most likely location for travel issues will be west of the DFW metro area where accumulating sleet and snow will be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday.

For DFW a cold rain is likely in the morning. There is also a chance for a rain/snow mix Wednesday evening before it all comes to an end.

Thursday will be dry but cold. Morning temperatures will be in the 20s with highs only in the 40s. Milder weather is on tap for the weekend.
