BCB satisfied with arrangements for T20 series in Pakistan

KARACHI: After weeks of uncertainty Bangladesh consented to play Test and limited overs series in Pakistan in three phases. The first phase of the bilateral T20 series in Pakistan is well over and now Bangladesh will tour for one of the two Test matches in Rawalpindi from Friday.

In the third and final phase of the agreed bilateral engagement the Bangladesh outfit will tour again in April from a Test and ODI.

The approach, of the Bangladesh cricket authorities, was a bit timid prior to the T20 series however both boards reached an agreement of limited-over and Test matches series in three phases.

After the T20 rubber, which Pakistan won 2-0, the Bangladesh Cricket Board now expresses satisfaction over the security arrangements and hospitality during their stay in Pakistan.

Jalal Younus, however, highlighted that restrictions on players’ movement was a bit of concern for them. “The hospitality was very good, the only concern was that players could not move outside freely. We are looking forward to a good test match”, Jalal Yunus concluded

The first match of the split Test match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will begin in Rawal­pindi from Friday.
