Colder, with more rain coming

A strong cold front pushed through North Texas overnight. It’s bringing colder air along with a brisk north wind. In addition, rain showers, and even a few rumbles of thunder arrived around mid-day. But nothing more than a few sprinkles are expected tonight and most of Wednesday.

A much greater chance of rain will return by Wednesday evening and continue overnight early Thursday morning. This system won’t produce nearly as much rain as we saw last week – a half inch or so in DFW, but you’ll still need the umbrella for a couple days. Heavier rain is likely farther south.

High temperatures will only be in the 40s the next few days, which is well below normal for latter portion of February.
