Dallas:Muslim Democratic Caucus of Texas ran a full campaign in Texas. The group ran final robocall messages to Muslim community in Texas in multiple languages. According to the details Muslim Caucus ran its last campaign on the election evening where they sent phone calls to 16,000 Muslim voters who have still to vote.

Muslim Democratic Caucus ran a complete program where they constructed list of Muslim voters in four congressional, seven State House as well several City Council seats in Texas. Around 51 thousand Muslims were identified in these districts. Several phone campaigns were organized, fundraisers were hosted, and literature were sent to Muslim voters. Talking to Jago Times correspondent MDC of Texas board member Aftab Siddiqui said that “We even bought thousands of phone numbers of Muslim voters from commercial vendors to have a strong database to be used in voter contacts”. A massive phone banking campaign ran to connect with all Muslim voters. With over 45K phone contacts MDC of Texas ran messaging campaigns in English, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, and Bangla. Aftab Siddiqui said that they are committed to the grass roots empowerment through supporting down ballot races with aim at increasing Muslim turnout.

MDC scheme paid off, just in early voting more than 33,000 Muslims out of 50,896 identified Muslim voters had already voted in early voting. This is a remarkable achievement as Muslim community is showing as the best in voter turnout in Texas. We are still monitoring our community voter turnout as our effort to see 70plus percentage in voter turnout to be a reality. Muslim community generally vote around state average or slightly below average. However, a strong showing of Muslims can help some of these races which are expected to go remarkably close
