Dallas police investigating fatal shooting of man whose body was found on South Dallas street

Dallas police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found Thursday on a South Dallas street.

Officers responded to a shooting call just after 7:15 p.m. at 4900 Wanda St., near Elsie Faye Heggins and Lamar streets.

The victim, William Vance, was found face down won the side of the street, police said. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.
