Victim of fatal shooting found on road in Stemmons Corridor, Dallas police say

The victim of a fatal shooting was found Saturday night in Stemmons Corridor, Dallas police say.

Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. to the northbound service road of Interstate 35E near Empire Central Drive, where the victim, who had been shot repeatedly, was found. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Dallas County medical examiner’s office identified him as Adam Gautreau, 36.

Investigators said no one had yet been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

On Monday, police said a blacked-out 2005-07 Chevy Tahoe was involved in the case and may also be linked to a second slaying that took place about half an hour later in east Oak Cliff.
