First freeze of the season

The first freeze of the season is underway for much of North Texas this morning. A Freeze Warning is in effect until 9 a.m. In addition to the cold air, the wind will be quite blustery, producing biting wind chills in the teens and 20s early today. Afternoon temperatures will climb to near 50.

The temperature will drop even more by Tuesday morning. Areas that don’t drop to freezing this morning, will certainly have a freeze by Tuesday morning.

Overall, the pattern will be sunny, chilly and dry to start the week. The next chance of rain arrives Wednesday with another cold front. The rain chances will be brief and should be over by late Wednesday. Temperatures will be below normal all week with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. The weather by next weekend looks mighty nice!
