Where to find free food pantries in Dallas, Fort Worth and other parts of North Texas

The Tarrant Area Food Bank is holding a large-scale food distribution event every Friday through Jan. 29, according to the city of Fort Worth.

The pantries will be from 8 to 11 a.m. at Herman Clark Stadium, 5201 Ca Roberson Blvd.

The Tarrant food bank also has mobile pantries Tuesday through Saturday at various locations and times, according to its monthly distribution calendar. You can also see where food will be delivered and check for updates on its Facebook page.

The North Texas Food Bank’s mobile pantry locations can be found on its website, which it recommends checking for last-minute changes.

Food will be delivered only to people who come in vehicles. To receive assistance, they will be asked to give their name, income and the size of their family, but no proof or documentation is necessary.

This week’s distributions are in Kaufman, Corsicana and Rockwall.

Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon

  • First Baptist Church, 2000 W. Fair St. in Kaufman

Friday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon

  • Navarro College, 3200 W. 7th St. in Corsicana
  • Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3003 Horizon Road in Rockwall
