Inmate who escaped Dallas County Jail may have already fled Dallas, authorities say

The Dallas County sheriff’s department is searching for an inmate who escaped early Sunday morning, officials said. Daniel Brown, 28, was discovered missing from the Suzanne Kays Detention Facility at the Dallas County Jail when he didn’t appear for an inmate count early Sunday. Man found dead after reported shooting in NE Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — One person is dead after a reported homicide in northeast Houston. Houston police said they received a call at around 9:30 a.m. about a shooting in the 7300 block of Texarkana Street. Pedestrian killed on Houston freeway

One person was killed in an early Saturday morning car accident on a Houston freeway. Houston Police were called around 1:20 a.m. to the 2900 block of the Eastex Freeway after a pedestrian was reportedly hit by two cars, according to KHOU. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
