Water and food distribution sites open across the Houston area

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — As the Houston area continues to deal with the winter storm recovery, multiple groups have organized free water or food distribution events throughout the city.

The list below will be updated with new information as we get it.

If you are in the Montgomery County area and need help, find a food pantry on this website.

Katy ISD is offering regular curbside service on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at all curbside locations.

On Feb. 24, Lucille’s 1913, a nonprofit founded by chef Chris Williams, will distribute 4,000 meals in Richmond and Rosenberg. Fort Bend County Judge KP George is expected to be on hand to assist.

While the boil water notice has been lifted for Houston and many communities, it’s still in effect for some small water systems. Check with your MUD or water provider before using the water to drink or cook.
