According to police, a woman, her child and her sister were stopped at the store when the sister’s boyfriend drove up and shot at their vehicle multiple times.

The toddler, who was struck in the leg, was taken to a hospital and was stable, police said.

Police identified 25-year-old Demetrius Davis of Richardson as a suspect and said that he and the sister had been in an argument earlier in the day.

Little Elm police and other law-enforcement agencies were looking for Davis, who they said fled the scene after the shooting. About 4:30 p.m., police said he had been seen at a home in Irving.
