Rain free Father’s Day weekend forecast

Friday will be very warm and mostly sunny to end the work week. The dry, very warm weather pattern will continue through the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s with a heat index around 100.

The lack of any significant wind has prompted the issuance of an Air Quality Alert Friday for parts of North Texas centered on the DFW area. People with respiratory issues should remain inside.

Monday will remain very warm with highs in the low 90s. A cold front will move into north Texas late Monday. The front will bring a drop in temperatures and a chance of showers and storms.
