75-year-old man arrested in fatal shooting of woman outside Richardson grocery store

A 75-year-old man was arrested late Friday in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman outside a Richardson grocery store earlier that day.

Eddie Leon Williams, of Garland, was charged with murder in the slaying of Kathryn Elizabeth Kramer, an 80-year-old Richardson native. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Police said a man had approached a pickup parked outside the Tom Thumb in the 800 block of West Arapaho Road, near North Waterview Drive, about noon, fired multiple shots at the vehicle and then drove off.

Paramedics took Kramer — the pickup’s only occupant — to a hospital, where she died.

Police said it appears that Kramer and Williams had a personal relationship.

Anyone with information about the shooting may call police at 972-744-4800.
