3 men arrested in fatal shooting of south Houston store clerk

Three men are in custody in the killing of a clerk who was repeatedly shot at a south Houston convenience store last month, police said.

The trio, Steven Hicks, 18; Lakoreen Parker, 19; and Brent Williams, 18; have been charged with capital murder in the death of  59-year-old Se Young Lee.

Police said that the three men entered the Exxon gas station in the 9200 block of Main Street around 1:05 a.m. on April 16, clad in masks hoodies and gloves.

Lee was shot multiple times, despite having his hands up and appearing to comply with demands, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The would-be robbers fled, and authorities released surveillance images that day. After an investigation, the men were taken into custody on Wednesday.
