The shooter fled before officers arrived on the scene, police said. KXAS-TV reported that a man had been arrested about 2:40 a.m. in the 2900 block of Valentine Street in South Dallas.

Police said Monday afternoon that 33-year-old Steve Roberson was arrested in connection with the shooting. It was unclear what charge or charges he would face, and his bail had not been set. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Roberson was arrested on the same street where a 1-year-old boy was fatally shot Sunday morning. The shootings are not related, police said.

WFAA-TV (Channel 8) described the shooting on Highland Road as a “domestic dispute,” citing police sources.

Details about what led to the shooting were not immediately available Monday.
