32-year-old man killed in Oak Cliff hit-and-run, Dallas police say

A 32-year-old man died early Sunday in a hit-and-run in Oak Cliff, Dallas police say.

The man, whose name was not released, had been crossing West Illinois Avenue near Hampton Road about 1:15 a.m. when he was struck by a fast-moving GMC Yukon, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV was disabled and stopped nearby, and the driver fled on foot, police said. The driver has not been identified.
