39-year-old man fatally shot in west Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

A 39-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday in west Oak Cliff, Dallas police said.

Officers found the wounded man in the 200 block of North Justin Avenue, near Jefferson Boulevard and Loop 12. Police initially said officers were called to the scene at 12:20 a.m. but later said the call was about 1:15 a.m.

The victim, whom police identified as Lawrence Salazar, died at a hospital.

Police did not provide any information about any suspects in the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
