7 in custody after theft ring bust at Keller home; ‘loud bangs’ were from SWAT

Seven people were taken into custody at a home in Keller on Thursday morning after police executed a search warrant involving an identity theft ring, police said.

Officers used breaching devices “that caused the loud bangs some may have heard,” Keller police tweeted. No one was injured during the incident

The search warrant was executed about 6 a.m. near Shady Grove Road and Buckner Lane, northwest of Davis Boulevard and North Tarrant Parkway.

Police said the case was related to an arrest in nearby Westlake last year, when several people were arrested on credit-card theft. Authorities, including the Secret Service, continued investigating and located the rental home in Keller, where police executed the search warrant Thursday morning.
