Police seek man who followed girl into restroom at Lewisville movie theater

Lewisville police are searching for a man who followed a 15-year-old girl into a local movie theater bathroom last week.

The incident happened last Thursday at the Cinemark Movies 8 on Oakbend Drive, where the victim told WFAA-TV (Channel 8) that she came face-to-face with the man.

“I saw the shadow of his head staring over the stall watching me the entire time,” said the teen, who provided police with a sketch.

The suspect was described as a black man with a beard, around 6 feet tall and 200 to 230 pounds. He was wearing black skinny jeans, a Carhartt jacket, a tan golfer’s cap and mangled Converse tennis shoes.

The girl also told WFAA that when she followed the suspect out to get a better look, he stuffed his phone in his pocket and left quickly. She fears he took photos or video of her while in the restroom.

Lewisville police Capt. Jesse Hunter said there have not been any similar reports.

Police ask anyone who might recognize this description or has any additional information to call 972-219-3600 or 1-800-388-TIPS.
