The eclectic mixture of homes in Houston’s many different historic districts offer a peek into the city’s rich history.
The city has more than 20 different historic districts, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. From high-rise condos in Houston’s historic commercial district to 1920’s era bungalows designed by world-renown architects, these neighborhoods boast some of the most treasured properties in the city.
The Chronicle compiled a list of five historic homes currently on the market that showcase some of the most unique gems the city’s historic districts have to offer. Homes featured are located in the Broadacres, Glenbrook Valley, Westmoreland, Main Street/Market Square and West Eleventh Place Historic Districts.
