Police release photo of vehicle, driver suspected in Far East Dallas robbery

Police have released a photo of a driver and vehicle they say were involved in an early morning robbery in February in Far East Dallas.

The victim was robbed and shot about 6 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 2550 block of Gus Thomasson Road in the Casa View neighborhood, police said.

Police did not release a detailed description of the shooter.

The photos released by police Wednesday show the suspected vehicle, which investigators believe is a 2008 to 2010 silver Ford Escape with a luggage rack and sunroof, as well as the driver of the vehicle.

Tips can also be left anonymously anytime by calling Crime Stoppers at 214-373-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
