Two motorcyclists were shot on Interstate 45 outbound near North Sam Houston Parkway shortly after midnight Sunday, causing the highway to close for investigation.
According to Houston Police, the two male motorcyclists had been followed by a car following an argument at a club near I-45. The suspects in the car began shooting at the two motorcyclists as they traveled northbound on the 1200 block of I-45.
One motorcyclist was shot in the leg, crashed his motorcycle and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The other was shot in his side, and was taken to the hospital in serious condition, undergoing surgery.
In order for the forensic science unit to collect evidence of crime, I-45 north was shut down near the Beltway shortly after midnight.
