Houston is most affordable metro area for” lower-middle” class families, per study

What does it mean to be a part of the “middle class” in Houston?

According to a new study by Lending Tree, one of the nation’s largest online loan marketplaces (according to its website),Houston is the most affordable metro area for two distinct sections of the middle class.

According to the study, the average “lower-middle class” resident the median home price is $166,500, the average lower-middle class income is $41,948 and the likely monthly payment for a median priced home is $683.

Pittsburgh and Buffalo finished second and third, respectively for the “lower-middle class” ranking.

According to the study, the average “middle-middle class” resident the median home price is $166,500, the average lower-middle class income is $62,922 and the likely monthly payment for a median priced home is $683.

Dallas and Minneapolis finished second and third, respectively for the “middle-middle class” ranking.
