A warm weekend before the next cold front arrives

The warming trend continues this weekend across North Texas. Temperatures reached the upper 80s Saturday afternoon. After a cloudy start to Sunday, sunshine and a southwest breeze will warm it back to near 90 by Sunday afternoon.

The next cold front is expected to arrive late Sunday night into Monday morning with showers and thunderstorms expected to develop. The best chance of rain will begin around 10 pm Sunday night and end before sunrise on Monday. Monday will be windy and much cooler, with highs in the low 70s.

The rest of the week will be uneventful, with clear, cool nights, and sunny, pleasant days.
