Houston: Military operations have curbed militant activities in country, Asad Majeed Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan addressed at World Affairs Council and Houston Karachi Sister City Association Dinner & Diplomacy Event:
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Asad MajeedKhan has suggested to American citizens to visit and enjoy new Pakistan where security situation has been remarkably improved and no organized terrorist entity is exist over there as military-led operations in Pakistan were successful in curbing the militant activity and Pakistan’s security situation has improved as compared to past years. While addressing “ Dinner & Diplomacy” event organized by the world Affairs council with the collaboration of Houston Karachi Sister City Association, he said that Pakistan is fully supporting
The peace dialogue between America and Taliban as peace in Afghanistan is important for Pakistan too while Pakistan role in peace dialogue leaded to build trust between two countries. Pakistan want peace and good relation with India but
the way Indian political leadership and specially the Indian media escalated the situation after Pulwama attack and blamed Pakistan without any evidence is dangerous for peace in the region, he said and added that Pakistani leadership and specially the media played a very responsible role. He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran khan, new Government is fully committed to fulfill the dream of common people by providing the basic amenities in all sector. He mentioned that Pakistan is going far away from the clutches of elite mafia and moving fast on the path of strong democracy.
Chief Patron of Houston Karachi Sister City Association Mr. S.Javaid Anwar, President HKSCA Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, Ronan O’Malley, Director of Programs (WAC), Amanda Rico, Director of Education (WAC), Basmah Ghauri  also spoke on the occasion. Prominent Community member s in presence were Consul General  Aisha Farooqui of Pakistan in Houston, President Sister Cities International Roger Mark, Chris Olson, Director Mayors office of Trade & International Affairs, From HKSCA Vice President Mohammad Zaheer,  BOD Members M. J. Khan, David Godwin, Cristal Montanez, Azam Akhtar , Haroon Sheikh President PAGH and a large numbers of members from American Community were in attendance.
On this special occasion Chief Patron HKSCA & Event Sponsor S. Javaid Anwar along with HKSCA BOD members presented traditional Texas cow boy boots to the Ambassador Khan.
