Atmosphere Nowadays Not Feasible For Domestic Politics: Asif Ali Zardari


LAHORE: Former president and chairperson PakistanPeople’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari says he is keeping mum these days because the country is going through a tough time.During a meeting with party’s Punjab, Zardariclaimed the incumbent government was infringing on the rights of provinces.He said the Federal government was not releasing due share of Sindh and Balochistan.
Even if we start indulging in politics at the moment, we can play very well, he remarked.If the situation permitted, we would have taken a number of steps to trip up [the government], he added.Zardari said his party rendered sacrifices in the past for national security and would continue doing so.
He called upon party leaders to enhance contacts with the people to change current dynamics of the politics.He said he would start Punjab tour with a visit to South Punjab. The atmosphere these days are not feasible for indulging in domestic politics, Zardari said.
We are with the Pakistan Army against Indian aggression, he stated.He said media houses were also facing extreme difficulties due to ineffective policies of the government.In a statement two weeks ago, Zardari said: We all stand firm and united with our armed forces in any aggression fromthe Indian side.
He strongly condemned the baseless Indian allegations over Islamabad over its alleged involvement in the Pulwama attack.
