Firefighters found a charred body inside a home that caught on fire in Houston’s East End Friday evening.

The Houston Fire Department received a call of a fire in the 400 block of York Street just before 7 p.m.

Upon entering the home, spokesman Mario Gallegos said, firefighters found a body so burned that they could not identify the gender or age.
