Dallas police investigate shooting, crash that left 1 dead on U.S. 75 service road

Dallas police are investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon that left one person dead near the intersection of the northbound U.S. 75 service road and Lemmon Avenue.

Police were called to the scene on North Central Expressway about 4 p.m., and witnesses told them someone in a vehicle fired several rounds into the victim’s car.

The shooting victim then lost control of his car and crashed, police said.

He died at the scene, police said. Police are still investigating what happened, and the victim’s name and age weren’t released.

No descriptions of the shooter or of the suspect vehicle were provided.
