A day-long Tuberculosis control programme was held for lady health workers in basic health unit of far-flung area of Mir Mailk here on Friday

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – APP –  ) :A day-long Tuberculosis control programme was held for lady health workers in basic health unit of far-flung area of Mir Mailk here on Friday.

The programme, held under the supervision of Dr Bashir that aimed to train the lady health workers about usage of latest techniques for the prevention of TB in the area and to educate people regarding adaptation of necessary measures to avoid the disease.

Dr Bashir while talking to this scribe said, they delivered necessary information to the lady health workers for the prevention of TB and adopting safety precautions.

He said patients of TB were mostly women and this is all because of so much work at home and social discrimination against them.

He said TB was curable and appealed to the people to admit the suspected patient at the nearest hospital without any delay
