Dr Yasmin Addresses Inaugural Session Of 5-day Conference

Punjab Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid addressed the inaugural session of a 5-day International Feto-Maternal Medicine Conference and Workshop here at Fatima Jinnah Medical University on Monday

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – APP – 15th Apr, 2019 ) :Punjab Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid addressed the inaugural session of a 5-day International Feto-Maternal Medicine Conference and Workshop here at Fatima Jinnah Medical University on Monday.

The session among other doctors attended by British Dr. Garrald Masson, Dean Children Hospital Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq, FMJU VC Prof. Dr. Amir Zaman Khan, MS Children Hospital Prof. Dr. Saleem and MS Ganga Ram Hospital Dr. Fayyaz Butt.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that protection of mother-child health during gynae was utmost necessary and the Punjab government was taking important measures for bringing betterment in mother-child health.

Punjab Thalassemia prevention program was playing an important role for safeguarding children fromthis disease, she said and added that five state-of-the-art mother children hospitals were being constructed in Punjab.

She especially thanked British medical expert Garrald Masson for attending the conference. She said that international standard medical facilities would be introduced in the public sector hospitals of Punjab for facilitating the patients. She said that inherited diseases could substantially be reduced by adopting preventive measures
