Ex PTV producer, renowned poet writer and intellectual Iqbal Haider passed away in Dallas.

Dallas : Ex PTV Producer, renowned poet and famous for his social messaging through Hico poetry on Jago Times, a writer and intellectual Iqbal Haider passed away, as per family members he had cardiac arrest. “We are from God and we all have to return to thee”.

Late Iqbal Haider was one of the founders of Urdu Ghar and had a tremendous amount of service for development and promotion of Urdu language. He was an Urdu teacher for children where he used to give free classes of Urdu. He was a participant in a large number of international poetry sessions(Mushairas). He has numerous services to Pakistani American community in Dallas.

Late Iqbal Haider made his name from his skills and dedication during his tenure at Pakistan Television.He was a well respected community leader, who was known for his softness, honesty and selfless dedication for not only Urdu Ghar but other civic and cultural groups. Indeed he was a stalwart in Pakistani and Muslim community of Dallas Fort Worth and will be remembered for long times

Syed Fayyaz Hassan, South Asia Democracy Watch President Amir Makhani, Dallas Peace Center President Aftab Siddiqui, Pakistan American Association of Texas founder President and Urdu Ghar President Dr. Amir Suleman, Pakistan Society of North Texas President Abid Malik, South Asia Democracy Watch Board member and Kashmiri leader Raja Muzaffar, Siraj Butt, Tauseef Kamal, its media coordinator Raja Zahid Khanzada and Jago Times staff, local writer poets and journalists and people from all walks of life are saddened to hear such an untimely news. We all pray for his pardons, and pray for him to be among the most beloved of God and a resident of paradise.

moreover, the body will be buried at the Dallas Muslim cemetery, the funeral prayers and burial have not yet been decided yet. However, the deceased has been handed over to the Rahma Funeral home.
