Four juveniles arrested in connection with robberies, shooting overnight in Houston

Four juveniles were arrested Monday morning in connection with a series of violent crimes on Houston’s west side, according to police.

The juveniles, who have not been identified, were tied to two robberies and a shooting, police said. They were arrested around 4 a.m. after leading police on a chase.

Houston police said the group first robbed a pizza delivery man on Deering Drive around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.  The four armed boys stole the delivery man’s silver Chevrolet Impala, police said.

Later, around 1:30 a.m., a friend of the delivery man spotted the Impala while searching the area, police said.

As the friend walked up to the vehicle, the four suspects got out and fired several shots at him before driving off, police said.  The man was not injured, police said.

Around 3:30 a.m., the juveniles targeted a man and woman getting out of a red Toyota Tacoma pickup at an apartment off Windswept, police said.

The suspects reportedly stole that vehicle and split up— two boys in each vehicle. A few minutes later, Houston police found the red Tacoma and the silver Impala in the area.

The driver of the Impala led police on a chase to the Bellaire area, where the vehicle hit a curb and the two occupants were taken into custody, police said.

Officers also pursued the red Tacoma after calling for backup. Police stopped the pickup near Beltway 8 and Bellaire Boulevard, where those two occupants were taken into custody.

No one was injured in the alleged crime spree, according to Metro Video.
