Front clearing through, lower humidity on the way

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A weak cold front pushing through SE Texas this morning is going to help clear out the humidity we’ve felt the past couple of days, and will bring some showers and isolated storms in the process. That front has moved through Houston already as is on the way to our coastal communities.

The biggest difference behind this front will be a noticeable drop in humidity as the wind shift out of the north, but high temperatures will still climb in to the 90s with sunny skies. While afternoons will still be hot, the dip in humidity will set us up for cooler evenings as low temps fall in to the 60s on Thursday and Friday morning, a nice treat for June.

The lower humidity will stick around through the weekend with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 90s, the humidity will gradually creep back in the picture and it will feel typically humid by Tuesday.
