Galveston County officials plan to bolster law enforcement efforts for next year’s “Go Topless” Jeep weekend after deputies responded to nonstop calls for service and vehicle collisions at this year’s event.

The event typically attracts hundreds of Jeep owners to Crystal Beach, but this year’s crowd appeared to be the largest in more than a decade, said Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset.
