Houston man arrested for allegedly shooting man in face at Walgreens

A Houston man was arrested Sunday, two days after police say he shot a person in the face outside a Walgreens.

Charles Gil Garza, 35, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault early Sunday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said

According to court records, Garza was driving a tow truck and pulled behind another car at the Walgreens on Queenston Boulevard.

Witnesses told police that Garza honked, then exited his vehicle and started yelling at the driver of another car before opening fire.

Garza then fled in the truck, according to court records, and was apprehended after witnesses identified him through photos.

Gonzalez said the man who was shot remains in critical but stable condition.
