Houston police arrested 35 drivers on felony alcohol charges during the month of February, a drop from 50 reported the previous month, according to records obtained by Chron.com.
Some were charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, and many were charged with their third DWI. Driving while intoxicated in Texas is typically a misdemeanor on the first two offenses.
Drivers charged with a third DWI offense can face third-degree felony penalties of up to $10,000 in fines, license suspensions and a possible sentence between two to 10 years in prison.

While most of the felony cases in February were the result of a third DWI charge, seven people were arrested on a charge of DWI with a child passenger. See mugshots of the accused as well as their charges above.
