RIYADH: The children of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered in Saudi consulate in Turkey, have received million-dollar houses in the Kingdom besides monthly five-figure payments as compensation for the killing of their father.
Indian media quoted Saudi officials that slain journalist’s two sons and two daughters may also receive much larger payouts – possibly tens of millions of dollars apiece – as part of “blood money” negotiations.
According to Saudi officials and people close the family, the children of Khashoggi have received houses in Jiddah worth as much as $4 million apiece.
NDTV reported that the delivery of homes and monthly payments of $10,000 or more to each sibling were approved late last year by Saudi King Salman.
