Lewisville Police Find 2 Shot in Wrecked Car Along I-35E Service Road

A 16-year-old girl is dead and another person wounded in a shooting and car crash in Lewisville Thursday night.

Police were called at about 10:45 p.m. to investigate the scene at the parking lot of Lakeland Plaza, located along the southbound Interstate 35E service road just after the exit for Texas 121 Business.

Two people found wounded in the car were hospitalized. One of the passengers, identified as 16-year-old Alane Batie of McKinney, died from her wounds, according to medical examiner records.

No suspects are in custody
