Man accused of robbing same Subway twice sought by police

Houston police are searching for man they said “casually” robbed the same sandwich store and attendant twice in a row.

Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, a man walked into the Subway at the 9200 block of Gulf Freeway in the Edgebrook neighborhood of southeast Houston demanding that the clerk hand him money from the cash register, according to Houston police.

The employee recognized him as the same man that had robbed her and the store just the day before, according to police.

When the suspect noticed, he threatened her by saying, “If I didn’t shoot you yesterday, then I’ll shoot you today,” according to police.

The woman, “in fear of her life,” complied with the man’s demands, police said.

The suspect then “casually walked out” of the sandwich store and fled in an unknown direction.
He is described as a white male in his 40s, weighing about 200 pounds and roughly 5 feet and 11 inches, police said.
