A 34-year-old homeless man has been charged with murder in a fatal stabbing over $5 he was owed at a bus station in the Braeswood Place area.
Stevenson Antron Thomas was arrested late Monday and is in the Harris County Jail, according to court documents
He is accused of stabbing 45-year-old Jerry Landry about eight times with a knife after the two argued about a drug deal at a bus stop at 9598 Main Street, near Buffalo Speedway, around 10 p.m. June 13.
A request for a $100,000 bond states that Thomas picked a fight with Landry over the $5 he wanted.
Court records identify Thomas as homeless. He was last arrested in March 2018 and sentenced to nine months behind bars for assaulting his girlfriend at the time.
Thomas was ordered to undergo a mental health or intellectual disability assessment following his latest arrest, court records show
