Man charged with capital murder in deadly summer drive-by in west Harris County

A man has been charged in connection with the July deaths of two men in a drive-by shooting in west Harris County, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Thursday.

Taylon Washington, 18, has been arrested on a capital murder charge. Gonzalez identified the two victims as Jacob Evans and Ja’Quarius Edison

The two men were found in a car July 23 at the Park Village Apartments in the 14100 block of Rio Bonito, across from O’Donnell Middle School, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

At the time, investigators said there may have been at least three suspects involved and that robbery was a possible motive. It’s unclear whether deputies are looking for other suspects
