Man dies days after Halloween shooting in Arlington, police say

A 24-year-old man who was shot last week in Arlington died Monday night, authorities said.

Police found the victim, Forrest Davis, wounded in the 2200 block of San Ramon Drive just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died about 11 p.m. Monday, police said.

Officials arrested 20-year-old Michael Callihan as he ran from the scene, police said.

Investigators initially charged Callihan with aggravated assault and unlawful carrying of a weapon. His charge was updated to murder after Davis’ death, jail records show.

Police said Callihan hasn’t cooperated with the investigation, and officials have not determined a motive behind the shooting.

Callihan was still in the Tarrant County Jail on Tuesday, records show.
