Man dies in north Harris County shooting, suspected killer at large, investigators say

Harris County investigators are searching for a suspect connected to the shooting death of a man found lying in an apartment complex parking lot Thursday.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shots-fired disturbance call near 5100 Azalea Trace Drive in north Harris County around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, according to a HSCO news release.

When they arrived, they found a man lying down in the parking lot of the apartment complex. He was then transported to the hospital, where he died upon arrival, the release said.

Investigators believe the man was involved in some sort of altercation with an unknown suspect in the apartment complex and that during the confrontation, the suspect shot the man and fled, the release said.
