A man was shot in the fact in south Houston early Sunday.

“We couldn’t get much information out of him because he’d been shot in the face, through the cheek,” Houston police Lt. McIntosh told reporters.

First responders drove him to Ben Taub Hospital, where police learned that he’d been shot at a nearby apartment complex after some sort of argument. It’s not clear what, exactly, led to the gunfire.

Afterward, the man drove himself to the Busy Bee.

Police did not identify the wounded man and do not have any suspects in the case.
