Man shot, killed while driving on U.S. 59 Sunday morning

A man was shot and killed while driving south on U.S. 59 in northwest Houston Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting took place around 4 a.m. The man came to a stop on the shoulder of the freeway near Aldine Bender. Houston police transported him to the hospital, where he later died

Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating.
